Drunk Airplane Passenger Performs In-Flight Erotic Dance

First Posted: 8/27/11 09:44 PM ET Updated: 8/28/11 12:30 AM ET

A London-bound bmi flight was forced to return to Moscow Friday after a female passenger started performing a provocative one-woman show.

Fifteen minutes into the morning flight from Domodedovo Airport, cabin crew noticed a "woman was acting strangely and disturbing other passengers," reports The Moscow Times.

The drunk, 39-year-old woman from the Republic of Tatarstan in Russia was "in a state of insobriety, inconveniencing the passengers, taking off their glasses and dancing erotic dances," a spokesman for transport police was quoted as saying by Agence France Presse.

Shortly thereafter, the plane returned to Domodedovo and the woman was taken to a local hospital for a medical examination. An interior ministry spokesman speculated that the woman was fine; maybe just a bit too drunk.

At least she didn't relieve herself on her fellow passengers like one JetBlue passenger did earlier this month, or threaten to stab an airline staff member like one British Airways passenger did.

I've flown in and out of Russia for the last 10 years, but never got a show like that, darn, just my luck. I know several people from Tatarstan, they are good friends. The Russian people are wonderful I have never had a bad time there.

I'd much rather see this dance than suffer through Legally Blond II on a long flight.

Russia huh? I would have guessed it was the same loudmouth that we shared a trip home from Vegas with a few weeks ago. She somehow was apparently given the impression it was her duty to entertain the entire plane with her drunken antics.

They gotta stop serving alcohol on airlines. It is a recipe for disaster. When will the airlines learn? When a plane goes down due to something disgusting like this article or from too much erotic stimulation?

15 minutes inot flight, really how much could she have drank on the plane
6 minutes ago (11:25 AM)
She started dancing within 15 minutes of the start of the flight. She would had to have chugged several drinks after take off. I think she probably started drinking way before flight time. I really can't see her being served that many drinks right at take off.

You liquor ban does make sense, especially on short flights. People can't be trusted to act sensibly anymore. Or at least a two drink minimum?

Horizontally challenged! ROFLMAO.

I'm guessing that the airline was less upset about it being inappropriate and more upset that some passengers were actually enjoying themselves during a flight for once.
